Example 1 & 2 - AUDI Locking Wheel Bolts (Earlier Design).

This AUDI locking wheel bolt style is found on the earlier AUDI vehicles; typically Pre < 2012. The locking wheel bolt has internal splines or ribs inside the circumference of the wheel bolt that the key engages into. This earlier Audi locking wheel nut design was fitted to the following AUDI models; AUDI 80, AUDI 100, AUDI CABRIOLET, AUDI A2, AUDI A3, AUDI A4, AUDI A6, AUDI A8, AUDI TT.

We require the image to be taken similar to the examples below – it is important take the image close-up and straight-on, so that we can see the internal teeth in their entirety all the way- around the nut.

Example 2 - AUDI Current Locking Wheel Bolt Style

The current Audi locking wheel bolt design is fitted to the following AUDI models; AUDI A1, AUDI A3, AUDI A4, AUDI A5, AUDI A6, AUDI A7, AUDI A8, AUDI Q2, AUDI Q3, AUDI Q4, AUDI Q5, AUDI Q7, AUDI Q8, AUDI R8, AUDI S Model Range, AUDI SQ Model Range, AUDI RS Model Range, AUDI TT, AUDI E-Tron.

The image above shows an entire set of AUDI locking wheel bolts along with the matching AUDI locking wheel bolt key. The black caps are dust covers used to protect the locking wheel bolts once they're placed on the wheel and the small plastic pincer is the removal tool used to extract the caps from the bolts once they have been fitted. This tool is placed around the head of each cap, so that they can be removed to reveal the locking wheel bolts behind. If you don't have the dust cap removal tool any other small object such as a screwdriver can do the job just as well.

The image below shows an example of one of the current range of AUDI Locking Wheel Bolts. This locking wheel bolt style is found on AUDI vehicles; typically > Post 2012. There are many different combinations of AUDI locking wheel bolts available. Each locking wheel bolt has a different keyed pattern on the head of the bolt which the matching locking wheel nut key fits into. As a secondary security measure, these later designed AUDI locking wheel bolts also have a rotating collar/washer which prevents a thief from gripping the locking wheel bolt. This ensures that the locking wheel bolt can only be removed with the correct matching AUDI locking wheel nut key.
